“Little People Big World” Travels to the British Virgin Islands, Monday, November 2
October 29, 2009 – New York, New York – The British Virgin Islands are the destination of choice for Matt Roloff and the men in the family in the next episode of TLC’s popular series, “Little People Big World,” airing November 2nd at 8:00 pm.
The episode, entitled “No Matt Is An Island,” takes Matt, his Dad, Ron, sons Jeremy and Jacob, and two friends on a male bonding sailing trip through the islands. The group charters a sailboat courtesy of the Moorings, and gives Jeremy the opportunity to perfect the sailing skills he started to develop on the family’s trip to the Bahamas. During the episode, the men venture through some of the Islands’ most popular locations, including The Baths on Virgin Gorda, The Caves at Norman Island, and an ATV Tour on Jost Van Dyke. They spend time diving, snorkeling, and kayaking while capturing the breathtaking natural beauty of the BVI as they enjoy the ultimate vacation.
“Little People, Big World” is one of the most popular shows on TLC and has been since it first aired in 2006. The series follows the lives of Matt and Amy Roloff, both Little People around four feet tall, and their four children, Zach, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob. Their 18 year-old son Zach is a little person like his parents and is also a fraternal twin to an average height brother, Jeremy.
The program is further evidence of the BVI Tourist Board’s concerted efforts to gain public awareness for the destination in the North America market. The family was escorted through the Islands by the BVI Tourist Board who partnered with the Moorings on the initiative, of providing national exposure for the Destination to the show’s audience of over 1.7 million viewers. Since its March 4th premiere in 2006, over 60 million people have watched Little People, Big World on TLC.
